SECTION 179 TAX BENEFITS!
- The end of the year is approaching. If you buy a new work vehicle for your small business before 2019, it could be as good for your bottom line as it is for your business.
- Section 179 of the IRS tax code allows taxpayers to elect to deduct the full purchase cost of certain types of property from their federal taxes for the year the property was purchased.
- The amount you can deduct is generally equal to the purchase price. However, there are limitations. Consult your tax professional on business tax deductions.
- Purchases must be made by 12/31/18 in order to qualify for the 2018 Tax Benefit Consideration.
